GlobalWin SAF520 520W-P4 PSU
Developer: GlobalWin | Product Type: PSU
Hardware Fusion reviews the GlobalWin SAF520W-P4 Power Supply Unit. The SAF520W-P4 power supply is a silent, yet high performance power supply unit intended for users running high end level systems. With today’s power demanding hardware it is becoming increasingly important to have a PSU that will be able to provide the power that your system requires. There are many low noise power supply’s on the market today that equally provide high power output. One of the main problems encountered by consumers is the choice between what power supply to buy. In terms of features the GlobalWin SAF520W-P4 PSU comes as feature rich as PSU’s come. An important factor to consider when buying a silent PSU is that your system is equally quiet otherwise there really isn’t much point in spending the extra cash on a feature that you may not necessarily need.

Many systems now require at least a 430W power supply, this is particularly the case for users running the latest GeForce FX graphics cards that require a 4-Pin power connector in addition to the power output of the AGP slot. Many people may find a 520Watt power supply a bit excessive but now days 480Watts is increasingly becoming the norm and 520Watts is always good for future upgrade purposes. If you were to remain with a 400Watt power supply you would almost certainly encounter power output issues, especially when trying to run the latest graphics card units. It is also very common for 400Watt PSU’s to provide no little than 5 4-Pin power connectors. This in fact makes it very hard to upgrade your system with additional drives. The SAF520W-P4 PSU comes with ten 4-Pin power connectors and two floppy drive power connectors, which makes it excellent for future upgrades and server systems! The SAF520W-P4 PSU also comes with three dedicated fan control power connectors, this conveniently makes available the standard 4-Pin power connectors for other use. GlobalWin’s SAF520W-P4 PSU also comes fully compatible with Pentium 4 systems and includes a 20 pin + 4 pin ATX-12V Power Connector.
