Element-Zer0: Tell us a little bit about your mod?
Anti-Camper: The goal of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) is to implement realistic tactical squad based combat. Our main objective is realism, but not to the point were its stupid, and it becomes a pain in the ass to play, we hope to be able to create a balance of realism and fun.
Element-Zer0: What exciting unique features will your mod contain?
Anti-Camper: For starters, I would have to say the damage system. No more are the days of the numerical health meter, in MAD there will be a human figure in your HUD representing you, when you get shot, the corresponding body part on the meter will change to a different color. As your body parts sustain more damage the color will change darker and darker, until the part is blown off. Also, as the body parts change color on you HUD, your external appearance will change also, as limb(s) take more hits; there skin will change to represent the damage. There are simply to many features of MAD to list here

Element-Zer0: What do you classify your mod as under action or tactical?
Anti-Camper: Tactical Action, its a little of both.
Element-Zer0: From what I have seen of your weapon models they look up they’re with the best, where did you get your modelers from and what projects including you have they worked on prior to this one?
Anti-Camper: The weapon models were done by TinyF|y. This is the first mod team I have worked, so I really have NFI what projects Tiny has worked on.
Element-Zer0: Where do you get your research from for all of the weapons models?
Anti-Camper: The Internet...where else?
Element-Zer0: Are you heavily into weapons and have you fired any yourself?
Anti-Camper: I'm not heavily into weapons, like, I’m not interested in the spec's of weapons or anything like that, I mean, there’s not much to it, you pull the trigger, it goes bang. Yes I have fired a number of weapons, but nothing really special, I am in Australia for starters so the majority of what you get over here are 22 and 303's.
Element-Zer0: Do you think that we need to create these games to stop people from going out and doing it in real life?
Anti-Camper: well...that’s a hard one to answer. The majority of people would say that games cause people to go out kill people, to which I say: crap. To believe that games like Doom and quake etc. caused little Johnny to go out and shoot up the town is possibly the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. If little john was so impressionable in the first place, why was he playing the game? Is it not the parents responsibility to shield Johnny; their little bundle of joy, from such evils? There’s what? 4 million? 5 million? People around the world playing games such as quake, Doom etc. and yet there are only 10? 20? For use of a better word, fucktards shooting up their schools and killing each other I think to answer you question, Social behavior, and games are two totally different things, to believe that the two are linked in a violent is a political excuse for the crap ass job some people do as parents. Which would you do? Tell the people who vote for you that its there fault their kids are morons? Or Tell them that it’s the games fault for warping your children into mass murdering twats?
Element-Zer0: What are your favorite games and which do you play the most?
Anti-Camper: My favorite games would be Quake 1, DoD, and Project IGI; I play project IGI the most.
Element-Zer0: Will your mod make people come away from Counter-Strike for a while or will it dominate?
Anti-Camper: There really is no way to tell.... I would like to think it would dominate, but that would be very naive - you just don't know till you get there.
Element-Zer0: What will be in the first release and when will it be out?
Anti-Camper: I don't know.... and I don't know. Next!
Element-Zer0: What are you going to include in future releases?
Anti-Camper: err...I don't know that either. It really all depends what people want.
Element-Zer0: How many weapons and maps will you be including?
Anti-Camper: There are a total of 28 weapons, including Fists, as for how many maps, I don't know...5? 10? 20? 100?
Element-Zer0: What will the style of the maps be?
Anti-Camper: There’s no set style really, some will be set in buildings, and some will be set in fields. It really all depends on player input - if the majority want sniper style maps, then we will aim for more sniper friendly maps.
Element-Zer0: Is this just another Strike Force or Counter-Strike game for Half-Life or will it contain something more?
Anti-Camper: I have never played Strike force before, so I can't comment on that, however, I believe that MAD will be heaps different to CS and contain a hell of a lot more substance then CS.
Element-Zer0: Will you be including Valves new animation system into the game?
Anti-Camper: I would have to say.... no? I don't think we are, but don't quote me on that.
Element-Zer0: When you become rich and famous will you still remember me =)?
Anti-Camper: more then likely not =)
